the day after; still of?
Nunaka Valley Park,
Anchorage, Alaska.
26 April 2008.
Nikon D70s.
It's the Next Day. The Day After. We did, in fact, kick 1952's snow record of 1.8 inches in the ass. Right now, in our yard, we've got twenty inches of fresh snow. Nunaka Valley Park, near our house, has eighteen inches. And you know what? It's still slightly snowing -- and we're expecting several more inches.
This has been truly unreal.
The snow is pretty spectacular, of course -- but I think most of us are quite primed and ready for summer. Know what I mean?
I can't believe we hit fifty degrees a few days ago...
Janson.

I enjoy shots of the green stuff, Karen! We had a tease of greenery this past week, you know... before the two-feet of white stuff fell out of the sky!
Janson, with thanks.

Okay, now I feel for you. Here I sat out on my back deck with the TV tuned into the Talledega race, the grill going, enjoying the warm sunshine and there you are with tons of snow. Man, I guess that is why I love Florida so much. Warmth, sunshine, good friends, and a race. What more could you ask for?

Ah, Talladega spring... We're pretty close to being able to pull out the grill. I'm looking forward to grilling Caribbean jerk at 11:00pm, with the sun still shining. There are perks up here too! (Especially in the winter...)
Janson!
