On my way back from the Mac Store in Altamonte Springs, I swung by Trimble Park near Mt. Dora for another short hike. Trimble is located just over the border of Orange county from Lake county. It's a sweet little park. A place I've spent a lot of time in my life.
Wildlife was, again, fairly sparse -- especially the snakes. Still, I did see a rather lovely great blue heron (Ardea herodias) perch on a tree over the shore line. I've always loved great blue herons. Large, regal, elegant, patient. Extremely cool birds.
Beyond the heron, I simply admired the thick canopy above. I do love the density of Floridian foliage.
