Hello! Welcome to My Sight!
My name is KIKI (short for KIKIANA) and I am a master of all things Rhetoric. In college I studied rhetoric and now I make money by teaching Rhetoric. "What, Kiki," you ask, "is this thing you call 'RHETORIC'?" I am so very happy that you asked me because it is my job to tell you.
"Rhetoric" is an old Greek Word that basically means this, in today-talk: "To make people believe what you want them to believe, without lying too much." For an example of what rhetoric may look like in action, look at this photograph that I took many years ago:
That mean looking white man is making an argument. By saying that "Abortion Kills Children" he is implying, by his mean scowl and ominous body language, that he will kill you if you disagree with him. Thus ergo, he is not unlike abortion incarnate and you are all basically his children. So you better not disagree with him! (RHETORIC!)
Now every now and then somebody will disagree with me but I just tell them that they're wrong and eventually they stop telling me *I'm* wrong. So, as you can see, I am a master of Rhetoric because in each of these cases the people who disagree with me eventually agree with me, and that means that they now belief what I want them to belief. Which is this: I'm really good on Rhetoric.
So you are in my website and all around you are pages just waiting to be understood and explored. You should know that my Rhetorical basement is one Mr. Aristotle, who lived way before Jesus wrote the New Testament but after he wrote the Old Testament. This is before the American President Taft, but after the Persian President Xerxes. If you've seen the movie "300," Aristotle wrote most of his stuff about an hour or so after that movie ended.
So anyway, Aristotle was all about trying to help people to make arguments that would convince other people to agree with the person who was making the argument. BUT, he was also concerned with not looking like you're lying. So he talks a bit about ethics too, meaning: it's important to look ethical.
So in conclusion to my introduction, use the links on the right side of the screen to find pages that link up to my words summarizing what Aristotle was talking about. An advantage to reading my website is that I don't write in the Greek language, which would be hard for you to read (I'm willing to bet!) I hop eyou find many useful things in this sight and I hope that you will remember.
