That's right, happy campers: we're outta here!
Floridana Alaskiana is officially expiring, for realz. I've started a new blog, Dust Tracks on the Web, over at WordPress.
In short, WordPress offers infinitely better customization for mobile devices and blogging. They're also much, much easier to use when trying to blog from a mobile device/tablet. So, Typepad? Your time is up, old friend. I kept hoping you'd catch up with New Media devices, but alas... One year later and you still don't have a freakin' app I can use to post photography with a modicum of control or stability. You're fine on a desktop, Typepad, but you blow chunks when it comes to new media devices.
I'll keep Floridana Alaskiana on life support for a few months, but then it will cease to exist. Now would be a good time to update your bookmarks, if ye so choose.
Floridana Alaskiana will soon be erased and vanish into The Grand Nothing, living the rest of its shade-existence in the internet archives of page scans, discarded caches, and deadend-link references.
So where's this new blog? Where's this Dust Tracks thing?
Right below, pal. Click on and engage!
(That's right, I've got a damn URL now. Now you know I ain't playin' around...)
((And yes, the title is a reference to Zora Neale Hurston's Dust Tracks on a Road, probably my favorite book of all time.))
